Courses instruct participants in a variety of aspects of parenting from prenatal through adolescence. There are two types of instruction.
- Parent-Child Classes: Parents, or those responsible for the care of young children, attend these classes with their children.
- Parent Involvement Classes: Provide instruction in specialized areas for adults only.
A fee of $75.00 will be charged for each class. Fees are non-refundable.
New Students: When registering, you must provide proof of freedom from tuberculosis (TB) for all adults and children above the age of 18 months. All children must have proof of other immunizations as suggested by the Health Department. All class fees must be paid at the time of registration.
Multi-level Parent Education
Parents (caregivers/guardians) will learn how to play a more positive and effective role in parenting their children. The core program is focused on basic parenting issues. Other topics may include child development, health and safety, parental roles in society, improving communication, and discipline. It is recommended that the course be repeated 2-4 semesters as appropriate.
