Computer Applications is a course designed to teach students how to use the computer as a personal tools as well as a business tool using Microsoft Office software. You will to create, edit, and publish documents using word processing, spreadsheet, slide presentation, and email/calendar applications. 

The courses focus on these Microsoft applications:

  • Word

  • Excel

  • PowerPoint

  • Outlook

COURSE 1: Computer Applications
Semester A

This introductory course provides training in Microsoft Office 2019/365. Students learn basics of each software program and integrate programs to perform workplace simulations. Students also gain knowledge of productivity tools like Microsoft OneNote, Sway, Office 365, Edge and Windows 10/11.

LENGTH: 18 weeks


COURSE 2: Computer Applications
Semester B

This course builds on the Introductory course and provides additional training in Microsoft Office 2019/365. Students learn how to integrate programs and work with advanced tools and features. Students also gain skills and practical experience that prepare them to take the Microsoft Office Specialist certification exam.

COST: All CTE courses consist of FREE registration and online curriculum.*
