Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)

To be placed in the CNA program, you must first complete our Health Care Essentials course.*

*OPENINGS ARE FILLED BY STUDENTS WHO COMPLETE THE HEALTH CARE ESSENTIALS COURSE.

Gain the skills needed to care for ill, aging or disabled patients and prepare for the California State Board Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Examination. This class includes clinical practice in a skilled nursing facility. 


PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS MUST meet the following prerequisites to be placed in this course:

  • Completion of Prerequisite Class: Health Care Essentials

  • Students MUST purchase and wear burgundy scrubs to class.

  • Students MUST attend the first day of class for orientation.


LENGTH: 11 weeks

COST: All CTE courses consist of FREE registration and online curriculum.*

*Students are responsible for the cost of scrubs and any fees for certification and fingerprinting. Some CTE courses require students to purchase supplies and/or books.
