3 medical assistant students getting hands on experience.

Prepare for work in the health industry as a Clinical Medical Assistant (back office), a multi-skilled member of a health care team. Receive hands on training to take temperature and pulse, measure respiration and blood pressure, and give injections. Due to government health requirements, students must be at least 18 years old to perform injections and venipunctures.


PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS MUST meet the following prerequisites before enrolling in this class:

  • Completion of Prerequisite Course: Medical Terminology or enrollment  into the Medical Terminology course during the same semester.

  • Students MUST purchase and wear burgundy scrubs to class.

  • Students MUST attend the first day of class for orientation.
